Join us on April 26 for a special dance workshop with master dance teacher, Dill Costa.
From ancestral roots to modern movement. This series explores Afro-Brazilian dance traditions and how they continue to shape movement today. Through dances such as Jongo, Lundu, and Carimbó, we’ll trace connections between history, memory, rhythm, and the dances we see now, including samba and beyond.
Carried forward by Afro-Brazilian communities across generations, these forms developed in Brazil through resistance, resilience, and cultural exchange, while carrying living memory through rhythm and movement.
All levels are welcome! Move, learn, and connect through rhythm and history.
Open to the public. Please register ahead of time!
